NW YMCA Strongkids fundraiser

My husband and I attended the NW YMCA strong kids fundraiser today. Kimberly Mendelsohn presented Lose Weight Eating Fabulous Foods. We sampled 3 menus which included things we don't normally eat, and some were very good. We received a cookbook with all healthy recipes.....plan to try some this week. Kimberly is a great speaker....check out her blog at https://kimtri3.wordpress.com/

Billy Joel/Elton John concert

So last week we went to see the Billy Joel/Elton John concert. It was a sold out show, and we were definitely not the oldest ones there, for a change! It was amazing They are both incredible piano players, and are so different. Elton John sang and played continuously through his part, and Billy Joel stopped in between songs and talked and joked with the audience. It was great, so glad we got to go.

Cheney Lake

We had a great time at Cheney Lake earlier this month. The cabins there are very nice and close to the water.

Tanganyika wedding...

I helped my boss take pictures earlier this month at a wedding held at Tanganyika Wildlife Park in Goddard, KS. I had not been out there since they completed all the remodeling and opened to the public. It is really nice and a great place to hold a wedding. We took a lot of the photos in front of the waterfall, it was beautiful. This is a picture of the lovely bride. Visit the Tanganyika website at http://www.twpark.com/ for more information. And of course for all your photography needs, visit http://www.barryburgard.com/.

We went to see the movie "UP" today, it was great! The kids loved the 3-D (not my favorite!), and it had some great lessons for adults and kids both. We also got dad his father's day gift- a liquid titanium necklace. They both wear them for baseball and say they play better and they thought we needed them, too! I got one too, we'll see....doubt I will play better baseball (ha) but they are supposed to help with joint pain.
